Cookies
Here, you can read about what cookies are. You can also find information about why and how we use cookies on spp.se.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a text file stored on the device (computer, mobile phone, tablet) you are using when you visit a website.
Cookies are used to enable the website’s functions and services to work and we use the statistics to improve your user experience at spp.se.
What kind of cookies are there?
A cookie is either temporary or permanent:
- Temporary cookies are stored temporarily on your device during your visit and disappear when you close your web browser (also referred to as ‘session cookies’).
- Permanent cookies are stored on your device for a set period of time or until they are deleted.
Temporary and permanent cookies can also either be first-party or third-party cookies:
- First-party cookies are set by the website you are visiting.
- Third-party cookies are set by a party other than the website you are visiting. Third-party cookies are stored at spp.se because of the various services we use. You can see exactly what the cookies are further down on this page.
Which categories of cookie do we use?
We use three different categories of cookie.
- Essential cookies: Constantly activated.
You will need to consent to other cookies to [sic] enable us to use them.
- Analysis and functional cookies
- Marketing cookies
By accepting one category, you consent to all of the cookies in this category. You can change your mind at any time and withdraw your consent or delete cookies from your web browser.
Can cookies harm my device?
No, cookies do not contain viruses and do not harm your device.
Why does SPP use cookies?
We use cookies:
- so that the essential functions of the website work, for example, at login.
- to gather information about how our visitors use the website so that we can improve the website and ensure that it is meeting visitor needs.
- to follow up digital marketing and be able to present tailored content.
- so that visitors to our website do not receive customer surveys every time.
The cookies that SPP uses do not contain any personal data and cannot be linked to an individual person.
For how long are cookies stored?
Cookies remain on your web browser until you delete them or until they cease to apply. The expiration date varies, but is usually updated every time you visit our site.
How can you delete or block cookies?
If you do not want to allow cookies to be stored on your device, you can turn this function off in your web browser’s security settings. However, if you do not allow our ‘essential cookies’ to be stored on your device, our website will not work securely. For example, you will then be unable to log in and use our services.
How you delete or block cookies depends on the web browser you are using. There are instructions about how to do this on your web browser’s help pages.
Information from the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority
You are always welcome to contact us if you have any questions about how SPP manages cookies. You will find more general information about cookies at the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority’s website.
Essential cookies
We need to know whether you are switching between open pages and logged-in mode in order for your visit to our website to function properly. Essential cookies are always active and cannot be turned off.
Our content management system sets permanent cookies to manage forms. When you have confirmed that you have read and understood the information about cookies, we set a cookie to remind your web browser so that you do not need to see this information every time you visit our website.
Essential cookies are always active. See what essential cookies we have on the list.
Analysis and functional cookies
We gather data, which we analyse, in order to give us an idea of how our visitors are using the website. These analyses give us insights, which are important to enable us to develop and improve our website and user experience, both in terms of our open and logged-in pages.

Advertising and marketing cookies
When you accept our marketing cookies, you will receive advertisements and other marketing communications from us that are more relevant to you. These cookies are placed on our website by our advertising partners. They do not store personal information directly, but are based on the unique identifier for your web browser and device.
These cookies can track your web browser when you are surfing on other websites, and shows content that is more relevant to you based on your interests and activities. Several of these ‘third‑party cookies’ make it possible to customise the content of, for example, social media.
If you do not accept these cookies, the number of times an advertisement is displayed for you is not limited and you will receive fewer targeted advertisements and a less customised user experience. For example, you cannot see YouTube films unless you decide to consent to our marketing [sic] cookies.
You can find out more about the cookies used in our list of cookies.
Consent
We need your consent to use cookies, apart from our essential cookies as these cannot be deleted. By accepting cookies, you consent to how we use them. You can withdraw your consent at any time or delete cookies from your web browser.
By consenting to our cookie categories, you will get, among other things, a better user experience at spp.se.
